IrfanView is a lightweight and fast image viewer that supports a wide range of file formats, including JPEG, GIF, BMP, and TIFF. It also includes a range of features that make it easy to edit and enhance your images, such as the ability to rotate, crop, and resize images as well as convert files from one type to another.
IrfanView is free to use and can be downloaded from the IrfanView website. Once installed, you can set it as your default image viewer by following these steps:
- Locate the image file that you want to open with IrfanView.
- Right-click this image file and select “Open with”. This will open the “Open with” screen.
- Scroll through the list of apps under “Pick a default program”. Select IrfanView and click “OK”.
- The image will now open in IrfanView each time you double-click it.
