Teracopy is an open source file management tool. Teracopy is a fast, reliable file copier that can work in background. It allows users to open, copy or move files faster than Windows Explorer. Teracopy also has a feature to pause and resume file transfers. By default, Windows 10 does not have teracopy installed. In this tutorial, we will show you how to make teracopy default in Windows 10.
- Right click on the teracopy shortcut and go to “Properties”.
- In the “Target” field you need to add a switch in order to make it default.
- The final result should look like this:
- “C:\Program Files (x86)\Teracopy\teracopy.exe” /makedefault
- Click “OK” and now you can copy files with teracopy by simply right clicking on the file and choosing “Copy with Teracopy”.
- If you want to make teracopy the default copy handler for all files, you can add the switch ” /default” to the target field.
- “C:\Program Files (x86)\Teracopy\teracopy.exe” /default
Now Windows 10 will use teracopy by default for all copy operations.
